We are delighted to open a new office in Vancouver, as this will enable us to provide clients with a seamless service by making use of the time difference across the Pacific Ocean.
We have moved to a new office of pretty much the same size, closer to Kowloon Bay MTR Station, Hong Kong. This new office offers a great view and is just 5 minutes’ walk to the MTR under a covered pavement. No wonder why it is well liked by our colleagues and clients.
We extend a warm welcome to two new members, Billy and Herman. As usual, they have gone through our highly demanding screening procedures and probation period to become one of the elites here.
Our senior manager Carrie left us today after 16 years of dedicated service, as she moved on to a new stage of life with our blessings. We thank her whole-heartedly for witnessing the organic growth of this company from a start-up to a well-established firm in the language profession.
As always, January is a month of celebration for Yao Shun guys as it marks the formation of a family whose members truly love language and translation. May we take this opportunity to thank our clients for their trust and care in the past 16 years, and renew our pledge to be their reliable partners in language solutions.
Efforts to expand our in-house teams and freelance database in the Greater China Region registered a success in 2015. Our offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Taipei are now better equipped with more talents to provide truly professional translation solutions for a wider array of corporate and private clients.

2015 marks the first year when Yao Shun guys in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Taipei can celebrate under the same roof. From now on, we are able to serve our clients with a subtle understanding of different cultures in the Chinese communities at both sides of the Strait.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our Taipei branch. Our geographical presence in Taiwan represents our ongoing commitment to clients and colleagues. With this new office, we are well-positioned to offer a wider range of language solutions to our corporate and private clients all over the world.
Our principal linguist, Dr. Simon Chau, completed his consultancy contract with us. While all of us here extend our heartfelt gratitude for his constructive advice and inspiring articles, we also wish Dr. Chau every success in his environmental concern endeavours.
Today marks the last date of Justin as our translation manager in Guangzhou. Despite his departure, Justin still works with us on a wide range of language projects. We thank Justin for his contribution over the years and wish him every success in his new venture.
Miss Vivian Hui, our new senior editor, reported for duty. With a first class degree in translation awarded by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Vivian is a much-sought-after linguist specializing in literature, legal and commercial translation. Welcome on board, Vivian!
At the invitation of Hong Kong Community College, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Peter Fan gave a career talk on how translation graduates could overcome the difficulties ahead in moving up the ladder of success.
Upon contract expiry, Our English editor John has chosen to return to his home country for good. Thanks to his valuable contribution, our translators have benefitted much in both written and spoken English, and are now able to write more idiomatically in Chinese-English translation tasks.
