For certain types of legal, financial, and technical documents, accuracy is paramount, and generative AI tools can play a supporting role, thereby boosting our daily output. For other types of documents—where free translation, copyediting or even adaptation, rather than direct translation, is required—an experienced translator can handle a maximum of 2,000 to 2,500 words per day.
